Pangolins are the only scaled mammal on earth, and unfortunately this unique and beautiful feature is the target of poachers and illegal animal traders seeking the scales for use in traditional medicine. Wildlife veterinarian Elias Mubobo works with the community around Gorongosa National Park to rehabilitate rescued pangolins, and in order to curb the spread of poaching and trade, his work also includes outreach to local children to rally community support in protecting pangolins they spot in the wild.
